Why it is wrong for a digital agency to charge you to leave their service

We try to keep things as simple as we can, so below are the standard website price bands for one of our website contracts

Subject to a minimum 24 month contract. e-Commerce website upfront fees depend on the scale of products required to be included and functionality within the shop (the build fee allows for ~50 products, additional products may require additional build fees). Sites that require bespoke functionality or complex integrations may fall into the ‘bespoke website’ category. Package available as a monthly cost with no upfront fee and £127.50 per month.
* The base cost of £750 assumes no more than 50 pages. Sites with vastly more pages will require an additional fee to cover the creation of the additional pages (quoted at the point of sale).

Subject to a minimum 18 month contract. Estate Agency (Property Listing) websites start at £600 but prices are dependent on the scale of content needed and if any bespoking of the functionality we offer is required.
Subject to a minimum 24 month contract. Bespoke sites are all subject to a full scoping phase in order to identify all required functionality and provide a detailed scope. A discovery phase maybe included and charged for.
All prices are inclusive of VAT, which is charged at the current rate of 20%. Prices do not include the costs to migrate existing archives (e.g. news articles), which will be quoted from as an additional cost if this is required. All costs include training and support for admin users, unlimited site editor accounts and hosting in our cloud server environment.
You can think of us as a disruptor in the market, or as the website equivalent of a discounter supermarket. Either way, the result is that what we deliver is a high quality design, development, hosting and support service to our clients at a cost that is often much lower than other suppliers.
But there must be a catch? You get what you pay for? There is no catch and how we do it is not rocket science either. For a start we do not believe in scraping profits from every angle. Instead we believe in charging a fair price where you get affordability and we get a small profit margin. But we also operate like a consultancy, so we do away with a lot of the costly overheads (such as office space) that other businesses have and focus on having the right skills in place to deliver for you, no matter where in the world they are based!
And finally, our model is different – rather than charging large upfront fees, we look at spreading the cost over time and giving you a full service rather than just a build and selling you a separate care package and a separate hosting package. Think of us like your mobile phone contract – you get a smart phone and a good service all for an affordable monthly fee – we are exactly the same. You get a top of the range bespoke website design, ongoing content and design support and secure hosting all for that affordable monthly fee. And if you want to choose add-ons to increase your service, you can do that too!
We offer monthly rental discounts for those who have three or more sites with us.
If a client does not wish to have a hosting contract with us and instead host a site themselves, then we can provide quotations for this, starting at £2,450 inc. VAT.
Our websites come with everything you could need to have a professional online presence for you and your business. But sometimes you might want a little bit more, so we have these additional packages.

* Enhanced CDN includes the licensed version of Cloudflare CDN, including additional Enhanced security with Web Application Firewall (WAF), Lossless image optimization, Automatic mobile optimization and Cache Analytics. For full 100% uptime guarantee hosting a dedicated hosting quotation will be required.
* Dedicated hosting can be provided at varying rates depending on the requirements. Price will be quoted based on client requirements and setup of this is usually one day, but more complex setups may take longer.
