Having reliable emails is not just a case of taking the free service that your domain registry provides. In fact that can cause more problems than it solves. Why? Because your domain provider will often use a single IP address which means that if any of their clients get blacklisted then you do too.
There are other problems as well. They will give you an email account which is likely with IMAP or POP3. What this means is that it is not a fully integrated technically solution and so syncing emails between your various devices is not very reliable.
